Okay, so hereās the truth.
I went into MK Prom a few weeks backāmy mum booked us in, and honestly, I was just planning to have a look.
The ladies there were so nice, and I tried on loads of dresses. Then I put on that oneāa deep blue satin with the lace-up backāand I felt like an actual movie star. It fit pretty well too, and they said with a few tweaks itād be flawless.
But I got in my own head and thought, āBet I can find it cheaper online.ā So I walked out without it. I honestly thought I was being smart. š
Prom night came and the dress I ordered online had issues. Bit too snug on the hips, bust was gappy, stitching a bit offānothing massive, but definitely not right. I still wore it though, thinking no one would notice. But then I walked inā¦ and saw another girlāIslaāin the exact same dress. Only hers looked like it was made for her. She got it from MK Prom. Same one I tried on. She looked stunning, confident, completely comfortable. And thatās when it hit meāif Iād just got it from MK Prom, they wouldnāt have sold that dress to anyone else at my school. I literally missed out on their Exclusive Dress Promise.
I wanted to cry.
So yeahādonāt do what I did. If you try on a dress at MK Prom and it makes you feel like that girl, donāt walk away thinking the internet will do you better. It wonāt. Trust the people whoāve been doing this for years, who care how you look and feel. MK Prom had my backāI just didnāt listen.
