Our History
2018: The Spark
The Agora Centre, Queensway Every great story has a beginning. We started as a small, passionate unit in the Agora Centre. Our mission was simple: to bring a high-end, personalized shopping experience to the students of Milton Keynes.
What mattered to us then – and still matters now -is taking time to get it right.
2019: Growing Our Collection
Our First Standalone Shop Your support allowed us to dream bigger. We moved into our first dedicated shop, expanding our rails to include the stunning Jora Collection and becoming a true sanctuary for prom-goers.
2021 – 2025: The Heart of the High Street
98 Queensway For nearly five years, “98” was our home. We survived the challenges of the early 2020s and emerged as a regional destination. Thousands of memories were made within these walls, and we are so proud to have been part of your milestone moments.
The Grand New Chapter
The Big Move to 215 Queensway, Our Most Ambitious Chapter
In September 2025 ready for the new 2026 season, we opened the doors to our most ambitious chapter yet. By transforming the historic former NatWest Bank building on Queensway, we created something MK Prom had never had before — a true, multi-level home designed around the experience.
For the first time, our prom collections could be showcased in bigger surroundings, giving girls the space, choice, and atmosphere they deserve. The move allowed us to become more than a single shop; it enabled us to build a destination where formalwear can be explored properly, without compromise.
The expanded space also allowed us to introduce services that were simply not possible before. With specialist seamstresses now based on-site, in-house tailoring became part of the experience, ensuring every dress can be adjusted with precision and care, so it truly feels made for the person wearing it.
We used the additional space to improve the experience for more people. A sensory-friendly quiet room was created to offer calm, unhurried fittings, alongside a private VIP lounge for those moments that deserve extra time and privacy. Bringing MK Bride and MK Outlet into the same building completed the vision — everything under one roof, thoughtfully designed and done properly.
