šŸ’¬ Evie tells the truth about online dresses šŸ’¬

Okay, so hereā€™s the truth.

I went into MK Prom a few weeks backā€”my mum booked us in, and honestly, I was just planning to have a look.

The ladies there were so nice, and I tried on loads of dresses. Then I put on that oneā€”a deep blue satin with the lace-up backā€”and I felt like an actual movie star. It fit pretty well too, and they said with a few tweaks itā€™d be flawless.

But I got in my own head and thought, ā€œBet I can find it cheaper online.ā€ So I walked out without it. I honestly thought I was being smart. šŸ™ƒ

Prom night came and the dress I ordered online had issues. Bit too snug on the hips, bust was gappy, stitching a bit offā€”nothing massive, but definitely not right. I still wore it though, thinking no one would notice. But then I walked inā€¦ and saw another girlā€”Islaā€”in the exact same dress. Only hers looked like it was made for her. She got it from MK Prom. Same one I tried on. She looked stunning, confident, completely comfortable. And thatā€™s when it hit meā€”if Iā€™d just got it from MK Prom, they wouldnā€™t have sold that dress to anyone else at my school. I literally missed out on their Exclusive Dress Promise.

I wanted to cry.

So yeahā€”donā€™t do what I did. If you try on a dress at MK Prom and it makes you feel like that girl, donā€™t walk away thinking the internet will do you better. It wonā€™t. Trust the people whoā€™ve been doing this for years, who care how you look and feel. MK Prom had my backā€”I just didnā€™t listen.
